Balance Transfer?

I know they say it takes 7 to 10 days but has anyone actually requested a Balance Transfer to be mailed to them in the form of a check? I've been watching the status. It's gone from Pending to Open to Approved. Is Approved the last step? Should I start watching my mail for it now? Or will it be another week?

Is it directly from the credit card company? If so, I don't know, I could never get that done as a BT, but instead as a cash advance. Cash advances are bad, always bad. Instead I moved the money through a second CC company. The process from initial request to the check for me usually took 3 weeks total. Of course YMMV.

Well in the manner that it's money from the credit card company that goes into my bank account, yes it's a cash advance. But in the manner that it's treated as a balance transfer with the interest rate being 3.99% until I pay it off (as opposed to 23% as a cash advance) it's a balance transfer.
