Just because they say you don't have to make a payment...

August 11th, 2006 at 05:29 am

..doesn't mean you shouldn't. I know this. Really I do. But I got so excited when they told me in July that I wasn't required to make a payment til August that I used the money to pay off other things. And now I'm paying for it, in another respect. My payment to my consolidated student loan this month, went completely to interest. Next month will too. Finally in October, I'll actually pay off approx $30 towards principle. In November I should be back on track. Ugh.

Ok now if my transfer papers will just show up so I can get them filled out and sent off and be done with my timeshare then I'll have that money to use elsewhere! I'm getting anxious about it now but I know things take a while to get mailed so I shouldn't be.

My interest is nearer to $188, my total payment is in the $260 range. *sigh* That's ok, live and learn.

Thanks for the encouragement about the Timeshare - fortunately I paid cash about 7 years ago and have had great usage out of it. But now that I am so determined to get out of debt I need the money to pay off some debt. That extra $170 will be great for your budget - I love your blog. Why are you considering moving to a job paying less? Just curious.
Will let you know when I get paid Smile
