You have got to be kidding me.

So I called about my timeshare, ie what are my options and found out that originally I had 5 days to back out of the deal but since that's past all I can do is try to sell it. The day after I signed the paperwork I realized I'd made a mistake and I poured over all the paperwork they gave me. Even the fine print. I found Nothing that said I could do that. I should have called anyway but I didn't. Now it's been two years and I'm well out of that period. I should have verified my loan balance while I was on the phone with them but I didn't. She's sending me a reseller package but it's pointless really since no one will buy it for the price that's left on the loan.

    What if you just stop paying and tell them to take it back? I have never met anyone that was happy about buying a time share. usually you can't even give them away because of the maintenance fees.

    Can you call your timeshare office and see what options you have? Do they have a list of past or present customers interested in buying it?

    I did call and my only option right now is to sell. I put it up on craigslist every few months and always get a nibble but nothing more. Problem is, people can get the same number of credits for the same timeshare company for much cheaper than I'm asking. I've called a couple of resellers, that don't require a fee upfront to list it, and they laugh at me. Well not laugh but they won't touch it until the balance is in the 3000s and right now it's in the 7000s.
